As some of you may know, the street style has become one of the most important things to see when fashion week arrives. We get to see pure and raw looks since they’re not walking on the runway. The models and vip’s of the fashion industry show us how to rock runway clothes in real life and the laid-back fashionistas show us how the use vintage or even thrifted things can look the best. They are definitely the ones that bring to life fashion week and we have to admit that they also serve as inspiration to designers for their upcoming collections.
For the Spring 2014 season in NY, the weather was still hot so we got to see a mix of short dresses and skirts, amazing colors but without forgetting the always seen neutrals. The looks spotted were infinite and a whole gamma of designer clothes was used; some of the trends that caught my eye were the head-to-toe monochromatic look, oversized clothes, pencil skirts, leather, denim, futuristic prints, strappy sandals, ankle-booties and sneakers.
The street style is one of the best ways for getting inspiration when you get dressed since you see real people experimenting with new and innovative things instead of just watching them on the runway. This is just the beginning of the Street Style for this season since London, Milan and Paris are still ahead. I honestly can’t wait to see what other surprises these places may bring to the street style! Take a look to some of my favorite looks and let me know in the comments below which ones did you liked the most and if you have other favorites too. Have a great friday everyone :)

Black and white are the two colors that will always be in our closets no matter if you are 18 or 40. From the never out-of-style little black dress to the classic white trousers, black and white have been and will always be THE colors to an ageless fashionista. Knowing that the two-toned trend will never fade (believe me, it wont!), sometimes we begin to think that there’s just that much we can do with them until we get bored.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the trend. You can never go wrong with these two colors, they make you look chic and you can wear them from day to night. So if you feel like you have some trouble when it comes to wearing black and white, keep scrolling down because I gathered several black and white outfits worn by fashionistas with different styles so each and every one of you can find outfits that will suit you best! I also created an inspired outfit that I thought these five different fashionistas would wear. I put a lot of effort to this post since I wanted to show how to wear this trend to not just 1, but 5 different girls.
Hope you enjoy this post and I hope you have a great beginning of week!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a good monday :)
I’ve been meaning to talk to you about my latest obsession which are the round cat eye sunglasses! I just love them. They’re so versatile and chic, perfect for every occasion. These sunglasses come in different prints, colors and textures which can adapt to everyone’s personal style.
We’ve seen them from the Céline and Dolce & Gabanna’s runway to the H&M racks and honestly, they’re all amazing. They’re also great for every face shape since they have a subtle cat eye frame and round glasses.
Here are some of my favorites which I divided in two: the high fashion brands and the more affordable brands. I did this to show how there are few differences aesthetically talking between the high brands and the mass brands. Which means that you can always be in style without spending a fortune. I’ll also post the links of the stores where you can find them ;)
- Opening Ceremony
- Linda Farrow Luxe
- Illesteva + Zac Posen
- Cheap Monday

And as always, here are some examples on how everyone’s styling these sunglasses so you can have some inspiration for when you get your pair or if you already own one! Have a great day everyone and let me know in the comments below if you love them as much as I do :)
Squares and plaids are timeless prints that were seen in mostly every runway of the season. Designers like Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel opted for the classic grey and black, and others like Mulberry, Jean Paul Gaultier and Prada opted for bright colors like orange, pink and purple.
These prints are a must have for this winter and you can incorporate them to your wardrobe in several ways. On the runways they were seen on coats and dresses but you can use pieces like pants, sweaters, shoes, scarves or purses to follow the trend.
Here are some examples of street style looks rockin’ the squares and plaid for the winter:
- Wanna make a statement with your outfit? Then forget the coats! experiment with other pieces like tops and pants.
- Not a big fan of a head-to-toe print? Use staple pieces like blazers, skirts or blouses to incorporate the trend.
- There’s nothing like a good plaid coat! If you already own this classic, re invent your look with strong accessories. (Leather, faux fur, other prints)
- Square and plaid accessories? Yes please! Use accessories with these prints to have your winter outfit on trend!
